Put these numbers on your own site
A free card showing what a council charges in rates, or what a suburb costs to run each year. One line of HTML, no signup, no account. It works on any site that lets you paste HTML, including WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow and a plain static page.

Paste both lines where you want the card to appear. If your site strips
<script> tags, paste the script once in a footer or custom-code area instead,
and the card still works.
Terms, in plain words
- It is free. No signup, no account, no usage limit, no charge.
- Keep the attribution link. The card ships with a link reading "Running costs by SuburbCost". Leave it where it is and leave the wording alone. Do not change it to a keyword phrase, because that would make it a link scheme and it would hurt both of us.
- You are not required to link. If you would rather not carry the link, do not use the card. Take the figures from the open dataset instead, which is CC BY 4.0 and asks only for attribution.
- The figures are estimates. They are modelled from published council, water and ATO figures, and insurance is estimated rather than sourced. The card says so. Do not present them as a quote.
- No property prices. This card never shows a purchase price, a median, a sale price, a land valuation or capital growth, because SuburbCost does not publish those.
- It does not track your visitors. No cookies, no identifiers, no analytics. The card fetches one small file and renders.
- Figures change. Council rates are set annually and the card updates itself when they do, so it will not go stale on your page.
